  • Step 1

Start off by getting your chicken ready. To do this you will need to first marinade your chicken. All you need is a tbsp garlic and ginger paste, salt, chilli flakes and black pepper. Let this sit aside for around 15 minutes while you start preparing the fry mix for the chicken.

  • Step 2

You will now need 2 bowls. One with a mixture of flour and cornflour mixed together and another one with eggs. For the bowl with flour, add all your seasonings to this (the salt, black pepper and chilli flakes). Get a whisk and whisk the eggs in the other bowl.

  • Step 3

Now you will get a pot with oil and start heating the oil up. get your chicken and dip it in the egg bowl and then put it in the bowl with the cornflour and flour mixture. Once the chicken is fully coated, fry it in medium heat until golden brown.

  • Step 4

For the last step, get another pan and throw in your chopped onion and chopped garlic and cook it for a couple minutes. Follow this up with peppers and spring onion and cook for a further 4 minutes or until soft. Once your vegetables are soft, add in your fried chicken and finish it off with a drizzle of soy sauce, a bit more salt (according to preference), black pepper, chilli flakes and a bit of your Chinese 5 spice. Mix it all together and there you go!
Make sure you serve it while its nice and hot.
