About

We don't eat meat, so we're big fans of salmon. Our favourite salmon is served with a mustard & dill sauce, so I decided to combine these flavours in my burgers. I'm a big wimp when it comes to spices too, so feel free to go crazier with the chilli flakes!

You Will Need (11 things)

  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 4 tbsp Capers
  • 2 cloves of Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 20 g fresh Dill
  • ¼ Red Onion
  • 400 g Salmon
  • 1 cup Oats
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs

Steps (9 steps, 40 minutes)

  1. 1

Chop the red onion, dill, garlic and salmon in to cubes.

  2. 2

Pop half of the ingredients in a blender and add the mustard.

  3. 3

Blend until a thick puree is formed and scrape out in to a bowl.

  4. 4

Add the rest of the chopped ingredients in to the blender and season with cumin, chilli flakes and salt & pepper. Blend a little so that the ingredients are combined but not pureed. Scoop this mixture to the bowl and mix together with the capers and oats.

  5. 5

Form the mixture in to patties and coat with breadcrumbs.

  6. 6

Coat a frying pan with oil and add the burgers when it's hot.

  7. 7

Cook the burgers for a few minutes on either side until golden.

  8. 8

Serve on a toasted bun with a few salad leaves.

  9. 9

Optional: you can mix together some more chopped dill and mustard for a tasty sauce to top the burgers with.
