Description

In this tutorial I show you how to use a decorative frame in a non so typical way, including it as part of two clusters in a layout. You will also learn how to create a soft and delicate vintage look with pigment powders.

Instructions

  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwZ5niWRHEM Very carefully cut the decorative frame in two pieces. It doesn't matter if the cut is perfect, imperfect will add more vintage look. Protect the scrapbook paper with clear gesso and dry. Slightly mark where you want to place the frame pieces and apply a light coat of diluted white gesso to that areas. Dry.

  2. Add texture paste with a nice stencil. Dry. Use Lindy's Magicals to create a soft and delicate background tone. Spray water, sprinkle pigments, spray more water and move to make the colors blend. Dry. Use embossing ink, embossing powders and stamps to add some nice details here and there. Use similar color with the background.

  3. Cover both parts of the frame with white gesso and dry. Use Lindy's Moon Shadow Mist to add a sepia tone. Dry and spray water to get a distressed look. Dry. Use metallic gold wax to highlight.

  4. Rip and ink the edges of the background paper. Glue the frame pieces and build your layout decorating with flowers, art stones, fussy cut foil pieces and sisal. Make splatters with white acrylic ink.
