Keep warm and be cute at the same time!!!
I had some left over fabric from my Chic Fall Cape and DKNY Inspired Bag Projects so I made this super cute scarf. I got the idea for the scarf from crafty superstar #37 Susan P. of Living With Punks. I hope you guys enjoy making this as much as I did.

  • How to make a scarf. Ruffle Scarf - Step 1
    Step 1

    Cut out your pieces

    You will need to cut two pieces that are 6" X 60"

    4 pieces that are 3" X 60"

    Sew your four pieces end to end to create one super long strip.

    Fold the strip in half and zig zag stitch the raw edge

    Put the super long strip and one of the pager pieces right sides together. Pleat and pin the strip down creating ruffles.

    Sew in place using a 1/4" seam allowance

    Step 4

    Place the other larger piece on top of the piece with the ruffles on it right sides together. Pin in place.

    Flip the entire piece over and stitch everything together following your previous stitches.

    Leave an opening on one end of the scarf.

    Turn the scarf right side out and hand stitch the opening closed.
