My earring backs were sterling silver, but that doesn't matter. I used a coated copper wire to make my earrings. I just bent them into the shape I wanted and then unfolded them slightly to pop on the beads. Then bent them back into shape, added the jump rings and the earring hooks :D You can play with designs to make them your own :)
