  • How to make a vase. Rope Vase - Step 1
    Step 1

Start at the bottom of your jar or vase. Place it on the surface to make sure there are no gaps or uneven angles. Add some glue and glue the rope to the base or the jar or vase. Make sure your rope is long enough to cover the whole jar.

  • Step 2

Start adding more glue as you work your way around the vase. You want the rope to really stick to the surface and make it tight as you move up. Keep pushing the rope down to the previous row as you move up to avoid any gaps.

  • Step 3

Once you get to the top you can overlap the edge of the jar or leave it. To finish off the jar use a good amount of glue to secure the rope edge from falling apart.

  • Step 4

Once finished I brushed the whole jar with transparent serviette paper glue to make it glossy and water proof. This step is totally optional you can leave your vase as it is.
