Description

I had a whole bunch of my great-grandmother's old 45s lying around, so I decided to make a few of these for myself and for my friends and family who can appreciate the beauty of a vinyl record.

Instructions

  1. Gather your 45s. I chose ones with colorful or unique labels.

  2. Lay out your records in a circular (wreath-like) shape. Play around with the order of the records and the color pattern 'til you find one you like. Just make sure the whole thing ends up being wreath-shaped.

  3. Leaving this loose design, begin hot-gluing the records together in the wreath shape. Be sure you have them where you want them while the glue is hot, because I found out the hard way that records do not un-stick cleanly.

  4. Once you have glued your wreath together, allow the glue to set for a minute or two. While this happens, measure out your ribbon. How you do so will depend on how you want to fashion the ribbon to the wreath.

  5. Weave, tie, or knot your ribbon onto your wreath. I wove the ribbon into the first wreath and fashioned a simple hanger for the second wreath. Be creative!

  6. Way to go! You'll be the coolest cats on the block with this Rockin' Record Wreath gracing your front door!
