Instructions

  1. Small dscn1821

Gather your materials and plug in your iron.

  2. Small dscn1825

Lay jeans face down on work surface and measure the pocket width/height (use a ruler or just lay your metallic strips down for reference). IE: Our longest strip was 5 1/2".

  3. Small dscn1826

Cut your studded trim strips accordingly. Remember, it's always better to cut a few extra rows and trim it later when you place it on the pocket.

  4. Small dscn1833

Using seam ripper and scissors, loosen the patch pocket from the jeans. Be careful not to destroy the pocket entirely! You should remove one top corner and one side entirely (see image).

  5. Small dscn1834

Some excess destruction is okay, it adds to the look.

  6. Small dscn1835

With pocket pulled back, lay strips of studs down until shape is filled.

  7. Small dscn1840

Lay press cloth or printer paper on top of strips, and iron for 25-30 seconds. Press an additional 10-15 seconds from the back to ensure hold. Let cool completely before proceeding.

  8. Small dscn1845

Tip: If you trimmed a few studs off to fit your pocket, use the excess studs to further decorate the pocket.

  9. Small dscn1846

Further distress your pocket and surrounding denim, and you're ready to try them on!

    Voila - instant biker chic.
