The Las Vegas Treat?
I was in an international market and would these cut vermicelli noodles and thought to myself, those look like the noodles in rice a roni... I know I will make my own Rice a Roni! Why not?

Step 1Find yourself some cut vermicelli.

Step 2
Measure out the ingredients.
Heat your skillet... med high.

Step 3Put butter or margarine in skillet and let melt. Then add rice and vermicelli. Saute until noodles turn golden brown. Stirring regularly

Step 4While the rice is sauteing measure water and add herbs and chicken broth to the water and microwave for a minute.

Step 5
Add the broth water to the rice in the skillet and cover. Turn the heat down to low and let simmer for 20 minutes. No stirring needed.

Step 6
Fluff and serve your new favorite side dish.

Yes, It really tastes like chicken rice a roni. I imagine that if you made it with beef broth it would taste like beef rice a roni.

Yum!! Does it really taste like rice a roni? That was my favorite food when I was small. That, and mac & cheese haha
