bag, reversible bag, tuxedo, bikini
First i tought that i'd make this for the magazine "naised"(Women) bag contest. But when i found out that if i didn't win i wouldn't get it back, i decided to keep it.
It's a reversible bag which on one side has bikini (Feminine side) and on the other has tuxedo(Masculine side), cause all of us have a bit of both sides in us.

  • Step 1

For this bag you'll need a lot of material.
Lycra for bikinis and bow tie, i used lycra with sequins.
Fabric for the tuxedo part that doesn't stretch(White and black).
    Skin-tone-colour(Beige) fabric.
    Pearls
    Leather band
    Buttons

  • Step 2

    Cut out 8 pieces.
    4 for straps, 2 beige, 2 black(75x5cm)
    1 big beige rectangle(48x71 cm)
    3 small rectangles, 2 black, 1 white(48x35cm)

  • Step 3

Sew the 3 small rectangles together with one stitch. Just place them one on the other and sew(Black-white-black).
Now fold them so you'll have a big black rectangle.

  • Step 4

Here i used some help from Felicia Rose's Tux T-shirt how to. On the side where you have white and black rectangles draw a line and cut. Make the lapels and sew them on using the tux T-shirt how to.

  • Step 5

Make a bow. Cut out a rectangle of your material(The same you'll use for bikini)
Hem the longer sides. Now sew the shorter sides together and turn right-side out.
Cut out a smaller rectangle, sew the shorter sides together, turn right-side out and tuck the piece you made earlier trough it.
Attatch the bow on the "tuxedo".
    Attatch the buttons.
    Hope it made sense:)

  • Step 6

Now take your bikini fabric. Make only the front of the bottom piece, no need to waste fabric. Maybe this will halp you since my english is limited :
    http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Make-a-Hot-Bikini-Out-of-Old-T-Shirts/
Sew the bikini on one half of the beige rectangle and attatch the leather band and pearls(Leave one end slightly longer, it looks better)

  • Step 7

Take one of your big blocks and fold it in half with the side you don't want to show on the outside. Then sew up 2 of the 3 open sides, leave the top open.
Now do it all again so you have two.

  • Step 8

    Take one of your piece
Turn it inside-out. At the base fold a "V" in each side by flattening the corner. Now stitch horizontally with a straight stitch. You can cut off the end of the triangle if you want.
    Do both sides and pieces.

  • Step 9

Take two strap pieces (1 black 1 beige),
make them face each other,Sew the longer sides. Now turn them inside-out(It's hard,i know) and iron them.

  • Step 10

It took me a while to understand this step:
Turn one piece rigtside-out and the other inside-out. Then stuff the one that is right-side out into the one that's wrong-side out :D
Now you'll have to pin the straps, but they have to stay between the 2 pieces. And the beige sides of the strap and bag need to face eachother.
    Pin.
Sew(You'll need to leave a cap open so you can turn the whole thing inside-out).

  • Step 11

    Turn inside-out.
    Check if everything's right.
    Sew the cap.

    You're done !
