99 problems and a stitch ain't one.
I was cleaning my room when I discovered an old art box of mine shoved under my dresser. I almost threw it away, but then started to think of the many things I could turn it into! And voila, I have a vintage looking jewelry box!

  • Step 1

Rip out the plastic holding the art supplies. It should be relatively easy.

  • Step 2

Line the bottom, back, and sides of the drawers with scrap book paper. Any color or design you want! Express yourself! (I used E600 glue. Depending on the material of the paper and how thick it is, that may not be your best bet.)

  • Step 3

I painted wooden dowels black (to match my lining) and glued them on on top of the other to create a barrier for broken pieces. You can make barriers anywhere to separate types of jewelry. I was too lazy (:

  • Step 4

After taking this pictures, I also decided to get some cheap, jeweled looking knobs from Lowes as the handles to open the drawers. You can also line the whole entire box, paint it, or bling it out! Have fun with it!
