For the bodice I used the pattern "Jacky Kennedy" from the book "Famous Frocks". The skirt and the belt are variations I designed myself. I found a 1,10x1,60m piece of woven fabric in a thrift shop for only €1,50! I loved the design with the metallic stripe from the moment I laid my eyes upon it, an instantly I knew what I was going to do with it. Sorry for the upside down pictures!

Trace the pattern pieces for the bodice onto your pattern paper and cut out.
Pin the pattern pieces on the fabric (folded double). With needle and thread, sew with a very loose stitch around the edges. Also sew on the darts and marks.
Cut out with 1,5cm seam allowance. If you did the previous step right, it should look like this.
Cut the stitches loose, but try to do it so that the stitch marks stay visible.
From here on I forgot to take pictures for a while so i made some drawings (sorry!). Pin the pieces of the bodice together on the stitch marks and machine sew the seams. Iron the seams open, trim and lock them with a zigzag stitch or with an overlock. Sew the back seam where your zipper should come with a very large stitch so you can open it easily afterwards.
Cut a straight piece of fabric that is about 5 cm wider than the widest part of your hips. Sew the back seam together (you have a tunnel now). Pin the back seam of the skirt together with the back seam of the bodice. Pin the middle of the skirt together with the middle of the front of the bodice. Pin darts in the upper part of the skirt and pin the sides together with the bodice. With the leftover fabric, try to find a way to fold it so the skirt fits to the bodice and the folds are in line with the darts. If it's not so neat, don't worry, you can put the belt over it later on.
Very vague step: sew everything together. Sew in the zip and cut the temporarily sewn seam in the back open. FIT! And make adjustments if necessary. Pin the hem at the desired length and sew. Zigzag or overlock all the edges.
Cut two strips of fabric of 5cm wide and about 15cm longer than your waist. Sew the two long sides and one short side together. Turn it inside out. Topstitch the edges.
Cut two rectangles of 10x15cm. Sew the sides but leave a small hole open. Turn inside out and topstitch the edges. Cut about 10cm of the belt and use it to shape the rectangle into a bow. Attach to the belt. Sew the hooks and eyes on the ends of the belt. You are done!
