resin bookweight/mark
After a lengthy battle with my book while I was trying to eat dinner the other night I came up with the idea to make a book weight. I find the leather ones to be ugly. So I thought maybe resin could be used... It turned out alright. Works for most of my books. I plan to try and work out the kinks and make more!

The kinks I needed to work out are that it wasn't quite heavy enough for some books. A bit thicker may have helped, I was going to play around with putting some sort of weight in the ends, so it was still transparent in the middle. I picked up some sand with the intention of mixing it through the whole thing, I just never got around to trying it again.

Before I decide to make one of these, what are the kinks that you need to work out? I am always reading while I am eating my lunch at work, and always wishing I had an extra hand to hold the book. I had never thought of a bookweight. I think my dad had a couple of the leather ones...
