Cute little potions to keep you wizardly when you wander!
I am an avid fan of sci/fi and fantasy and also a lover of cutesy and miniatures! This combines the two in a cute wearable way!
These could also be used to make a charm bracelet or keychain!

    Step 1

    Gather the supplies:
+Easy Cast Resin (or your fave brand)
+Tiny Glass bottles with corks (found a variety in the jewelry section at Hobby Lobby)
+E-6000 (to glue the corks in)
+Clamps (found these at the Dollar Tree)
+Acrylic Paint (If you want opaque potions)
+Glitter (Any color or shape: I found these tiny bottles of mylar and hexagon glitter in 8 packs in the nail section of the Dollar Tree)
+Plastic Spoon and Paper Cup (for measuring and mixing)
+Headpins (for stirring in the glitter)

Using a clamp will help hold the bottle upright while pouring and while the resin sets. You can also use whatever you have on hand to support the bottles.

    Step 6

If you want some potions with a clear base you can go ahead and pour resin into those bottles.

It helps if you pinch the paper cup it will make a litte pour spout.

Try to leave some space at the top for the cork.

    Step 10

Use the head pin to push the glitter down into the resin and stir it around. You can add glitter to the opaque base too but it may not be seen as well as in the clear base.

*The glitter has a tendancy to sink so keep checking off and on and stirring or adding more glitter if needed*

    Step 11

There may be air bubbles in the tops of the heart humps or the arms of the star.
A headpin bent like a hook can help reach those hard to reach spots to pop the bubbles.

Use a napkin to clean up the bottle neck if needed.

Let the resin set for 24 hours.

    Step 13

Once the resin has set check the length of the corks. As you can see here I filled the pink too full and now the cork doesn't fit in.

If this happens to you too simply use an exacto knife to trim some of the cork off.

Using the E-6000 apply a thin layer around the bottom of the cork.

Press the corks into place and let the glue dry for 12-24 hours.

    Step 17

Once the glue has dried we can add the pendants to a necklace chain.
Start with using the pliers to open a split ring.

    Step 18

Slide the pendant onto the split ring.
For the star I slide the split ring into one of the link of the chain to keep it stationary.
For the heart I put the split ring over the whole chain so it could slide freely.
    Close the split ring.
