I’ve been eyeing on Valentino and the high price points are only letting me “eye” it. Specifically the bag with a hand holder feature (whatever you call it) and it looks cool and quite classic actually. So, I said to myself, why not make one. Since Valentino is known for their diamond studs I wanted the studs to not ruin the piece’s fabric I wanted to get my project on. Something that can be removed if I didn’t want it there. Something that can be done on bags, shoes, etc. So, I thought of this!

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Scissor
  • Clear Nail Polish
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Tape
  • Paper
  • Ribbon
  • Studs

Steps (9 steps, 10 minutes)

  1. 1

Here are the material you'll need, studs, ribbon, a strip of paper, tape, double sided tape and clear nail polish.

  2. 2

.Measure and cut the ribbon to a length that wraps around the bag or cellphone case. Make sure that you leave few inches of ribbon for overlapping.

  3. 3

Apply clear nail polish to each end of the ribbon to prevent fraying.

  4. 4

Cut a strip of paper, almost the same width as your ribbon. Apply double adhesive tape to one side and put it on the back of the ribbon. Make sure that the strip of paper is stuck where you’re gonna put the studs on.

  5. 5

Put on the studs. As many as you want! Go crazy!

  6. 6

Now, to prevent the spikes of the studs at the back from damaging the fabric or leather, stick on a strip of clear tape.

  7. 7

Stick on a small piece of double adhesive tape on to one end of the ribbon.

  8. 8

Wrap it around the bag or cellphone case and peel off the double adhesive tape cover and stick.

  9. 9

You now have a stylish removable band for anything! For bags you could sew in velcro to make it more durable. You could also use leather in exchange for the ribbon. Simple and easy! I hope you guys get inspired by this!
