When I moved in with my botfriend I had not just culture shock but color shock.. or lack there of. His apartment walls, ceiling is made out of concrete (They don't build things in Holland out of wood) like a brick S#ithouse...LOL. He didn't have one thing hanging on his white walls (boooooooooooooorinG!). I come from a festive background and my previous homes always ended up looking like Mardi Gras so this is like slow death by color drain for me. I went in search of (after much persuading) something simple (to start with...bahahahaha) so I aimed my arrow at the boring windows in our bedroom. Hey, no paint, nothing permanent...hehehe (trying to use some form of man/woman psychology). I looked at curtains, bedsheets and materials for some bright open your eyes kinda colorful material to make me some new curtains. I found some nice colorful fabric from our small selection of stores and attacked it with my sewing machine. TaDA! And he actually liked it! HA hahahaha! Next I will be making a cloth kite in some form of weave pattern as a wall hanging for the corner between the magenta and lime green curtain and I am in search of some colorful semi matching sheet or material to hang at the head of our bed to put some color on a VERY blank wall and get my honey to get our ceiling fan put up (MAN job) for a finished siesta room...LOL
