Description

I found this beautiful bright colored shirt but it was tired. I decided to give it a new life. I redesigned it with a skirt and voila, I have a new shirt!

Instructions

  1. Cut shirt to desired length. I wanted mine to hit the mid-rib area.

  2. Measure elastic around rib area. Pull it slightly so it will fit snuggly when it gets sewn on the top. Now, sew the ends together so it makes a huge band.

  3. Pin elastic evenly to bottom of top portion of shirt.

  4. Zig-zag sew elastic to bottom of shirt.

  5. Measure from rib down to desired length of top on your body. Now use that measurement to determine how much of the bottom part of the skirt you will need. Cut skirt. (You may need to also sew the side seams to fit your waist).

  6. Pin right sides of shirt and skirt together and sew.

  7. Remove pins and turn inside-out.

  8. SSCCRREEAAMM!!! You have a new shirt! YAY!!
