About

I knew that I would be traveling for a couple of days and after that much travel I was going to need to come home to a drink. Luckily Sangria is the perfect drink to do that with as you can make it in no time flat and just leave it in the fridge to age and by the time you come back to it it's perfect.

You Will Need (7 things)

  • 1 Bottle Merlot Wine
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ Lemon
  • ½ Lime
  • ¼ Grapefruit juiced and zested
  • 7 Strawberries
  • 1 ½ oz Brandy

Steps (1 step, 5 minutes)

  1. 1

Mix all ingredients in a large mason jar (1 liter or so) or pitcher. Let sit in the fridge, or a cool dark place, for 6-24 hours to let the flavors marry. Strain before serving, to remove any particulates. Serve with ginger ale (if you’d like), chilled lightly but without ice, as ice will dilute the flavor. Also, if the sangria is too cold, the flavor will be dulled.
