You Will Need
For the red velvet donuts
140 g
Plain Flour
140 g
Sugar
40 g
Cocoa
½ tsp
Baking Soda
½ tsp
Salt
125 ml
Buttermilk
60 ml
Oil
2 tsp
Vanilla Paste
½ tsp
Vinegar
1
Egg
Wilton's No-Taste Red
Food Colouring
100 g
Cream Cheese
75 g
Icing Sugar
2 tbsp
Milk
1 tbsp
Lemon Juice
For the cream cheese glaze
Meringue
pieces to sprinkle on top

Step 1Whisk together the plain flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

Step 2In another bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, vinegar and red food colouring until you get a nice colour of red.

Step 3Mix the flour mixture into the milk.

Step 4Spoon the batter into a donut baking tray.

Step 5Bake for 10 minutes at 180'C.

Step 6Whisk together the cream cheese and icing sugar for the frosting.

Step 7Stir in the milk and lemon juice.

Step 8Dip each donut in the glaze

Step 9Sprinkle the donuts with meringue sprinkles.

Step 10Leave the glaze to set and serve!
