This is my very first dreamcatcher that I made, is about 5 inches in diameter. My mother-n-law bought an dreamcatcher that had a wounded Indian in the center and mentioned that she would like to have one made with the Crimson tide mascot. So this is what I came up with from gestimation work. I gave it to her as a X-mas gift. It is about 20 inches in diameter, I think. These are actually quite easy to make.

This is what you will need.
First use a small dab of gel glue or hot glue to hold yarn/string to hoop while wrapping.
Then just continue to wrap around hoop tightly.
Cut and glue end of yarn/string to hoop at starting point.
Where the starting and ending point of the wrapping, use embroidery thread, I use DMC floss of contrasting color. Tie in double knot and cut off excess.
Depending the size of your hoop, you will have to gestimate how much floss you will need to do the weaving. Go from outside and behind loop with threaded floss and through hoop as shown.
Do this all the way around the hoop until you get back to starting point, making sure that the weaving is evenly spaced.
At starting point,thread through behind the first loop. and continue the previous step again all the way aroun
Continue step 8,again all the way around with the wrap directly in the center of the loop that you are weaving, and pull tightly. Use thumb and index finger to hold in place while weaving the next loop.
Go as far to the middle as you like with the weaving. At last loop that you weave, thread through the loop that you just weaved and pull tight to form a knot, then cut. Sorry guys, I tied the knot before I took a pic of it. Will try posting it later, of course I will have to make another dream catcher. Tiny knots are not so easy to get out.
Again depending on the size of your hoop, you can add as many strings, and as long as you want them for hanging your feathers. I only used 3 because this is a small hoop, BTW was only 50 cents at Hobby Lobby. Wrap around the inside weaving, tie in double knot and cut off excess.
I like to make sure that they are basicly all the same length.
Use floss (I used ribbon of contrasting color which you can too is you choose) to glue or tie to top of hoop.
Thread on beads add a dab of hot glue to end of string.
Quickly add 2 feathers to glue and slide beads down over feathers and glue. Be careful, remember the glue is hot or use the gel glue, which I have never tried for this step. Which is worse, burned fingers or ones that are glued together?
