Description

You can just use about anything to stick the magazine rolls on, ive used a food tin, CD spindle top, a bottle of a fizz bottle and a square plastic box cotton buds came in.

Instructions

  1. Small img 20130223 00192

Start by ripping out a page from your magazine. Trim the edges if you need to.

  2. Small img 20130223 00193

Next start rolling the page up from the corner closest to you, keeping it as tight as you can and not letting it unravel.

  3. Small img 20130223 00194

When you get to the end corner, add a drop of the hot glue and wrap the corner round still keeping it nice and tight until it dries, carful not to burn yourself.

  4. Small img 20130223 00190

Make as many as you want or measure around the tub your using with a bit of string and the length will be the amount of rolls you need. Hope that makes sense.

  5. Small img 20130223 00191

This were made with just smaller bits of magazine.

  6. Small img 20130227 00211

Gather the tubs or tins you want to decorate.

  7. Small img 20130227 00212

Then begin gluing the rolls around the tubs, keeping them inline as possible.

  8. Small img 20130227 00214

Trim the bottom and top so it looks like this then repeat the last few steps.. trim them in stages, it'll be much easier.

  9. Small img 20130302 00219

    It should look like this.

  10. Small img 20130302 00215

To make the loops, take a small piece f pipe cleaner and stick one side in one tube, miss one then put the other side in the other. So every other one if that makes sense.. I hope.

With this, I just trimmed the bottom and left the tops spiky. And for the lid on the small round one, I drew round the bottom with cardboard then cut it out and stuck scrap magazine bits around it.
