old cheap sandals to crafty jean sandals
I decided to make this for Father's Day because my dad is completely against me buying things for him. I have to admit this isn't the most luxurious creation but it was quick and practical. Personally if i had more time I would have gone out and boughten some kind of rubber sole to use instead, but I worked with what I had!

    Step 1

    Materials:

    -Old Sandals
    -Recycled Jeans
    -Scissors
    -Super/Crazy Glue
-Sewing Machine (Although hand sewing is fine too!)

    Step 2

After washing the sandals throughly, cut the straps out of the sandals. I left the little rubber circles inside and glued them in, just so it keeps from getting dirt and stuff inside the sandal.

Then cut out the jean material (or whatever substantial material you choose to use) to the shape of the sandal. If you decide to use 2 layers of jeans sew a outline on the machine to keep the layers together

With another piece of jean sew on the semi circle to the front of the (now) slipper, or leave it so your toes can hang out if you choose to!

**make sure to fit the part that covers your toes to your foot before sewing, to make sure it fits the bridge of your foot (i learned the hard way...)

The final step is to now glue the flimsy sewn creation to its sturdy bottom. Press down hard when glueing and make sure to line up both pieces correctly. There you will be left with the final product!
