I took the sides in and ruffled the sleeves a bit. Added some cute lace around the neck.. et voila! (the black spot is a little crown that was on the t-shirt to begin with) Update 26/6 2008 -now it's a how-to! I hope it all makes sense :)

I took the sides in and ruffled the sleeves a bit. Added some cute lace around the neck.. et voila! (the black spot is a little crown that was on the t-shirt to begin with) Update 26/6 2008 -now it's a how-to! I hope it all makes sense :)

Instructions

  1. Small 10186

First.. measure a dress or t-shirt that fits you well and find out how much you will have to cut off the sides of the big t-shirt. Make some space for sewing. Take your oversized polo-like t-shirt and cut off the side and the sleeves. Save the sleeves for later.

  2. Small 10189

Sew the sides together but leave holes for your arms ;) Measure around your shoulders to see how much space you need :)

  3. Small 10190

Now it's getting a little tricky to explain for a Dane ;) Cut the seams off the sleeves and pin the sleeves to the arm-holes. The sleeves should be bigger than the hole, so there will be enough fabric to ruffle it.

  4. Small 10192

    Yep.. like that ;)

  5. Small 10194

Start with pinning the sleeves under the armpits and work your way up to the shoulders and there should be plenty of fabric to fold it a few times, so it will look like on the picture when sewed.

  6. Small 10195

Now take your lace and start pinning it onto one of the sides starting on the front. Fold it nicely when you get to an edge. Continue around the neck and end at the other side and fold it under the flap as shown. Sew with small stitches in a matching color, as these will show :) Aaaand you are done!
