Reconstructed Jewelry Wire Wrapped Brooch

Reconstructed Jewelry - Wirewrapping

I took apart a cameo brooch that my mom gave me, it was already falling apart because the glue was old. I cleaned off all the glue from the setting and the cameo, since I'll be using that in another project. I drilled holes around the inside of the setting - ALL by myself! Then I took apart a not-so-attractive pair of clip-on earrings and used the stones in the brooch/pendant. The stones didn't have any holes, so wrapping was a bit of a challenge, they're small and slippery. The back didn't have much loose wire and no sharp, pointy ends. But I didn't like the unfinished look of it, so I used a piece of cardboard from a box of tea and a piece of black felt to make the back soft. Plus the black felt added a lot of depth to the design itself. I'm in love with it.
