There are a lot of ideas out there on how to turn used light bulbs into Christmas ornaments... well this is one of them. Make them kid friendly recycled and cute!

Instructions

  1. Small 18454

Gather your supplies, and put on some Christmas tunes!

  2. Small 18459

Ok, now place your light bulb into your lonely sock with the screw part facing out. Pull and stretch your sock until the toes spread out to your desired placement. I pulled mine extra tight to make a star type thing, but you can also leave them loose and make animals out of them if you want.

  3. Small 18460

Mark around where the fabric meets the bottom of the bulb stem. This will be where you cinch your fabric. Cut off extra fabric about 2 inches from where you made your mark.

  4. Small 18461

cut holes every half or quarter inch on then line you have drawn. thread ribbon through once and pull like a draw string to make it tight. Bring ribbon around once more on the outside of all the fabric and tie into a bow.

  5. Small 18462

EXTRA STEP:!!!! I don't have pictures of this but you can add bells to the end of each of the toes to give it a little holiday jingle.

  6. Small 18463

Hang on tree!!! Oooooo Ahhhhhhh These are great because even though they are glass they are covered in fabric so harder to break. AND even if they do break, all the glass will be inside so no messy clean up. YAY!!!
