felted wool brooch
<center>just started to learn how to felt and i loooove it
heres some of the brooches i've made so far.
its pretty easy once you get the hang of it :]</center>

<br>uh this is a rather poor how-to on brooches but whatever :P

    okay well you should kinda know what your doing if you've read my felting how-to

    now just figure out what shape/object you want your brooch to be =]
    <br>
    usually i just look through mags, comic books, or just make things that i saw at a store
    or just start making a random colorful abstract shape
    it doesnt have to be perfect or make any sense

    once youve found your inspiration
    make it!
    <br>
    the smaller and stiffer the better
    lol
    <br>
    and you can always sew beads into it, add glitter, threads, whatever
    be imaginative!

    finally just add the brooch backing by sewing it on the back of your little creation

    or just use a safety pin to stick it to things
    :D

haha thats ok.
ooo i havent thought of using that before :]
i use some weird plastic styrofoam and it starts to get squishy and shed when i use it alot :/
um im not sure how long the needles can last
until it breaks i guess haha

Do you use styrofoam? I use a soft squishy foam like you would use for stuffing coaches or something. How long do your needles last? Does the styrofoam shed as you work with it? Sorry..not a lot of felters around for me to ask questions!
