7 strand braid with all the colors of the rainbow then thrown on some 7 vials with some beads with embroidery thread attachments so they can hang on the ribbon. Add a bit of obsessive madness and you get this chain.
Called rainbow lanterns due to the association of the rainbow colors with the various "Lanterns" of the emotional spectrum [comic book stuff]
