Do it yourself rainbow crayons are totally awesome in every way and did I mention easy? My son had so much fun helping me prepare the crayons and could not wait until they cooled so that he could color. He loved the entire process of seeing how you can make something old into something new. Not only are these fun for the kids but they make great gifts. They would look so cute in little jars or bags for your crafty friends.

You can make all kinds of cool shapes and sizes, the possibilities are endless.

You Will Need (2 things)

  • Broken Crayons
  • Muffin Pan

Steps (3 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Unwrap broken crayons but if your like me you already have tons of small, unwrapped and broken ones.

  2. 2

Pre-heat oven to 350F. Fill any mold or small tin that you want. I used a non-stick mini muffin pan.

  3. 3

Pop the ton in the oven until melted, about 10 minutes. Let cool a bit then place the tray in the refrigerator until cool, 30-45 minutes.
