Description

Instead of die cutting a frame or cutting paper strips to frame your stamps, use ink to create a frame to surround the image.

Instructions

  1. Small 111755 2f2015 10 30 031248 img 5560%2b 282 29

Use a Glitter Glue to add a little dimension to the frame. This should be done first so that it can dry while you are working on the rest of the project. For an icy look this winter, draw a line of icicles on a sheet of wax paper and allow them to dry completely. For other looks, lay the wax paper over an image (scrolls are one idea) and trace them with the glitter glue or draw the design by hand.

Use a palette knife to remove the piece from the wax paper when it is dry. Start at one edge and work to the center until you feel like it doesn't want to lift off and then stop and start on the other edge until it loosens.

  3. There are times when a die cut just doesn't fit into your creation, but you still need something to finish off the blank cardstock around an image. This is a simple way to finish off any look.

  4. Small 111755 2f2015 10 30 031321 img 5564%2b 282 29

Place the die onto the cardstock and use the blending tool to add ink up to the edge of the die.

This is what the piece will look like at this point.

  6. Small 111755 2f2015 10 30 031351 img 5569%2b 282 29

Stamp your image in the center of the frame.

    Color the image.
