Plain hoody with tartan and lace accents
I used to live in this top a few years ago, and yet I believe it started out as one of my mother's wardrobe rejects! There was a time when almost all of my modified clothes had a scrap of that blue tartan on it, I absolutely adored it..!

Alterations-

- Taken in at the sides and inside sleeves with machine stitching (few sizes too big) and symmetrical front pockets removed and salvaged for later.

-Asymetric patch on left shoulder cut, pinned and stitched

-Pocket pieces sketched roughly onto fabric, cut two for stiffness, sewn together and small machine embroidered heart motif added in contrasting red thread before pinning and sewing to the body of the jacket.

-Length of zipper measured and tartan/ lace trim cut, pinned and sewn to fit.

-Process repeated for the 'armband'(originally intended as a cuff, but it look a little strange so I unpicked it and started again)

-Zipper pull replaced with scrap of matching tartan, hand stitched to secure.
