This style box is one that I call a twist box because of the top and bottom being perpendicular to each other. You can get a blank template to decorate in my Etsy shop. This version is already decorated with dots and stripes. It's a fun shape for party favors. The stripes and dots box was created especially for Cut Out and Keep.

Description

This style box is one that I call a twist box because of the top and bottom being perpendicular to each other. You can get a blank template to decorate in my Etsy shop. This version is already decorated with dots and stripes. It's a fun shape for party favors. The stripes and dots box was created especially for Cut Out and Keep.

Instructions

  1. Download and print one or both of the attached files on card stock. One is orange stripes with blue polka-dots, the other is pink stripes with green polka-dots.

  2. Small folding diagram1

The files have thin black outlines. Referring to the diagram, cut out along the black lines indicated. The red lines are fold lines, score those gentle with the bone folder or another scoring tool.

  3. Pre-fold the box, folding along all the lines scored in the previous step.

  4. Small folding diagram2

Glue tab shown in blue on the diagram inside the box. Line it up carefully. The best results for me are using a thin coat of standard PVA/white glue, which I spread with a piece of the trimmed card stock.

  5. Small folding diagram3

Fold the tabs marked in green to the inside.

  6. Small folding diagram4

Tuck the tabs. If what you have in the boxes is a bit heavy, you may want to glue one of the tabs to the inside to be the "bottom" of the box.
