On your headpin, add one turquoise heishi and one fetish bird. Make a simple loop at the end of your headpin. Repeat with the other beads and headpin. (Making a loop now will keep your beads from slipping off the end while you're trying to glue them.) Now, if you're a free spirit, and you don't mind your birds spinning around the pin freely, you can just hang them on your earrings now and be done. If you're a little more OCD, like me, continue on. Add just a dot of glue (my favorite is Loctite Super Glue) to the bottom of the heishi bead and hold it against the head of the pin until set. Now, add a dab of glue to the top of the heishi, placing it as close to the pin as you can to hide it, and slide the bird down and hold it in place until the glue is holding. Repeat with the other headpin/beads. Open the loop, slide onto the loop of your earring post and close the loop back. Now, hold them up and make sure the birds are facing the way you want them to when hanging in your ears. Not happy? Fix it. Check it again (I might have had some experience with this...). If you're happy with the outcome, put them in your ears, and if you're like me, you can't help but smile when birds are swinging from your ears in their cute little nests.
