A checkerboard cake for V-Day!
I made a checkerboard cake for V-Day! It is a Potato Chocolate Cake (recipe from the Idaho Potato Commission), and it is D-lish! I decorated the edges with a mixture of chocolate sprinkles and coarsely ground coffee beans (ground them with a dash of cocoa powder and powdered sugar for sweetness)

For real Potato cake? Do you have a link for that? I've been looking at recipes for a healthier alternatives for my (nearly) diabetic mother...may not fit the bill but I'm so curious.

This cake is sooo delicious! I just tested it on three people and they all agreed that taste and texture are A+! The recipe has been linked above the description. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Oh duh! Don't know how I missed that one. I'm definitely gonna have to try this. I don't have the separator thing, or I'd try it your way. Do you think leftover potatoes would be gross? I won't eat 'em like that, I HATE leftover potatoes of any kind. But if you mix 'em into cake stuff...maybe it wouldn't matter?
