Description

This is the roast my mom made since I was a little kid. It's awesome and makes the house smell amazing!

Instructions

  1. Alrightie, get all your ingredients together. Clean, peel and cut potatoes and carrots. You can leave the skin on the potatoes if you'd like.

  2. Brown the meat. Season to your desired tastes. Just make sure that the entire outside is brown.

  3. Once done browning the meat put in the crock pot. You can surround the meat with the veggies or put them on the bottom.

  4. Take the soup mix and spread as evenly as possible.

  5. Pour the beer over the meat and veggies. The size of the can of beer depends on one thing: the size of your crock pot. typically I'd use the cheapest beer available in a large can (not fourty).

  6. Set on low and let cook for six hours. Try to resist the urge to stir but check on it periodically and glaze the top of the meat with the juice.

  7. VIOLA! Enjoy your tasty roast.
