Perfect for snuggling while watching a movie.
I made this for one of my kids at her request. A plain, thick blanket with an occasional row of detail.

Using 2 balls of yarn at once with a large hook means it works up quick and is super warm and thick.

My blanket measures 140 cm x 155 cm approx.

    Step 1

Using 2 balls of yarn at a time, chain your required number of stitches for the width you want.

Your base row needs to be a number of stitches that is divisible by 3 +1 . For example, my base row was 145 ch. 145 - 1 = 144/3 = 48

    Step 4

    Make the border by :

Make sure the blanket is right side up. Work a round of sc working 3 sc in each corner. The top and bottom edges are easy as you are working into sc or ch. The sides can be a bit funky though. I did 1 sc into the sc row edges and 2 sc over the post of the dc rows.
Finish with a ss into your first sc. Fasten off yarn. Weave in ends.
