Pool Table Birthday Cake

Pool table themed birthday cake!

For my dad's 60th birthday I decided to make him a pool table cake because he's a pool shark. It was tricky enough for me because I never decorate cakes. This is the first cake I've ever decorated so I'm pretty proud of it! The first picture shows the cake at home as soon as I was done decorating it. I forgot to add the mini pool stick I made to it. The second picture of the cake is from the restaurant. The server who brought out the cake didn't support the board it was on and caused it to crack. Oh well, it still tasted great! To make the cake I used 2 cake mixes and 2 jars of frosting; one chocolate (for the wodden frame) and one of vanilla (made green for the felt top) To make the pockets I used 6 "peppermint patties". To make the pool stick I used a wooden chopstick that I decorated. To write the "60th" I put vanilla frosting in a ziplock bag and cut one of the corners. It then acted like a frosting bag. Overall it tasted good and it looked pretty good as well. I don't know if I would make another one tho. hahaha
