You Will Need (8 things)

  • 7 Pony Beads
  • 1 Ring Base Blank
  • Glue
  • Emery Board
  • Clothes Pin Peg(s)
  • Foil
  • Baking Tin Sheet
  • Oven

Steps (5 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Gather your supplies, pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees and line your baking dish with the foil.

(that's the ring blank stuck in the clothes pin....just so you can see it)

  2. 2

Arrange the beads on the foil lined baking sheet. The "petals" have to be touching the center. Carefully carry it to the hot oven and set the timer for 11 minutes or so.

  3. 3

    Wait....wait...wait...
After the initial 11 minutes I kept checking until the holes in the beads had disappeared. In my oven this took nearly 14 minutes.
Take the flower from the oven and let it cool until you can pick it up without burning yourself. Use the emery board to smooth any rough edges.

  4. 4

Next glue the flower onto the ring blank. I used a clothes pin to hold it in place. I used Gorilla Glue. It's amazing for mixed media and only takes a microscopic sized drop for this project. It needs pressure to bond and 24 hours to dry completely but holds REALLY well.

  5. 5

Here's the finished ring. The blanks I bought came from my local craft store and are the adjustable type.
This is my first attempt at a tutorial please let me know what you think. I'd also love to see the flowers you make.
