Polka dots are more than a passing trend... polka dots are forever! We love this super simple, super quick project that took a plain lampshade from "whatever" to "WOW!" This is a project anyone can do, and it looks great in our living room.

You Will Need

Step 1Make a polka dot template by tracing a circle onto a piece of cardstock and cutting it out.

Step 2
Use painter’s tape to attach the stencil to the lampshade, making sure it is as tight as possible.

Step 3
Use a small paintbrush to fill in the template with metallic gold craft paint that is safe for fabric, holding the template tight with your thumb to make sure it doesn't gap and bleed.

Step 4That's it! Easy peasy.
