I saw these at a cool little shop for WAY beyond my price range, and decided to make my own. They take some time, but that's mostly just the holes and filing. Enjoy!

Description

I saw these at a cool little shop for WAY beyond my price range, and decided to make my own. They take some time, but that's mostly just the holes and filing. Enjoy!

Instructions

  1. Small photo 193 1285804410

Gather your stuff... Then cut the card into thin strips, all about the same width. You can make them shorter, if you prefer. You'll need 10 strips, so don't make them too thick!

Now file down the corners a little, so they're rounded and not sharp anymore. This will take a while.

Now take the tack and poke a hole in one end of each strip. Make sure that the tack's point goes all the way through, the hole needs to be kind of big.

Now string your metal rings together: first an earring hook, then two small rings, a large ring with two strips, with a small ring in between. Then on that small ring link three more, than a large one with two strips, a small ring in between, then on that you link three more and a large ring, with a strip on it. Sorry, I know that's really kind of confusing, but hopefully the diagram will help!

Now make another, and you're done!
