It was coming up to my birthday and i was having a party at home with friends coming round. I was decorating the house when i ran out of decorations and had the idea to make my own ones!
It was coming up to my birthday and i was having a party at home with friends coming round. I was decorating the house when i ran out of decorations and had the idea to make my own ones!
Grab a load of plastic bags in lots of different colours. My favourite ones are the H&M bags.
On a piece of card draw a template of the flags you want and cut it out.
Cut along the seam of the bag and cut the handles so you can lay it flat to draw on.
Draw your templates on the bag. make sure you use as much space as you can and don't waste the bag. ( I know I didn't in this picture but i did with the others! Some bags make about 20 flags.)
Cut out all the flags.
Repeat this with lots of other different bags. Here I have a swag shop bag (yellow one). A game bag (purple and white). A blue bag (dunno where that came from). A thorntons bag (white). A H&M bag (dark green) and a M&S bag (light green).
Grab a flag and put a strip of glue on the edge of it. Sorry about Kristen Stewart being in the background, i was using a magazine to save the table from being mucky.
Fold the edge down and hold it so you know it will dry.
Make sure you leave a gap so you can put the string through.
Do this with all the others.
Tie a knot in the end of the string and start threading all the flags on. I did all mine in patterns.
Once they are all on you will have beautiful decorations to hang anywhere you want!
