I wanted to be a pirate this last halloween but wasn't impressed with what I found in costume shops... the materials were cheap and the cost high so I thought I'd make my own. (Accessories worn at the time not in pics :/ ) 1). Corset - not made, purchased a few years ago. 2). Peasant top - Followed simplicity renaissance pattern 3). Skirt - altered simplicity renaissance pattern to make it more bustled 4). Hair piece - completely made myself (I didn't want to wear a hat or scarf) went with the "x-marks the spot" theme)
