Spiderwebby Shirt
Painted + cut shirt, with pink spider-appliqué on the shoulder, looks lovely worn over any plain shirt and really sexy over pink fishnet ;)

I'm sorry I don't have pictures for the steps, gonna add some if needed.

  • Step 1

    Startin' simple:
Cut off the sleeve hem and neckline of your shirt.

  • Step 2

    Now, the web.
You can simply paint the lines with a brush, or do something stencil-like, using sticky tape as your stencil for the single lines.

Additionally to the lines for the spiderweb, I made some around the hem, the neckline and the, err, seam where the sleeves (they stay completely unprinted and uncut from now on) are attached to the shirt.

  • Step 3

The previous step should have taken quite some time, mostly drying time, but we're almost done.

Find yourself a nice spider stencil on the web or make one by yourself.
Here's way more than one tutorial on that so I won't explain stenciling here.

Anyway, print the spider on a piece of black fabric.

  • Step 4

Cut out the spider, leaving about 1cm of fabric around it, and sew it on one shoulder using a tight zigzag stitch.

  • Step 5

Rightyright, now cut out the spaces between the spiderweb lines (leaving some fabric next to them) and you're done!

How did you make the lines on your shirt so straight? Like if you used sticky tape, how did you use it cuz that confuses me..

I love it, but I got totally confused when I thought that the picture was a real person with no pants on! HA! Then I got it together and figured out what was going on...
