Instructions

  1. Small bb1002tentomakefig1lowres

Pick up 1 gun metal bead and 1 pink bead on a headpin. Using the cutters part of your multi pliers, cut the headpin a good centimetre above the pink bead. Using the round nosed part of your pliers, curl the headpin into a loop but do not close it completely. Repeat this step 3 more times so that you have 4 beaded headpins.

  2. Small bb1002tentomakefig2lowres

Cut 12cm of trace chain. Attach 1 of the beaded headpins to 1 end and close shut to secure using the round nosed part of your pliers. Repeat on the other end and then on the ends of the remaining 12cm of trace chain.

  3. Small bb1002tentomakefig3lowres

Pick up 1 gunmetal bead and 1 pink bead and 1 more gunmetal bead on another headpin. Cut the headpin between 2 or 3cm above the last bead added. Using the round nosed part of your pliers make a loop at the top of the headpin. Again, do not close completely. Repeat this with 1 more headpin. Attach 1 of the headpins about 7cm along 1 of your pieces of chain and close the loop to secure. Open the joining loop on a long ball wire and hook onto the trace chain on the next loop along from the headpin. Close to secure. Repeat on the other piece of chain to make your pair.
