A simple make to keep your monthly medication safe from harm!
I carry my pill around with me everywhere, and my much patched carboard sleeve from a previous perscription was getting very battered. So I made a new one. And since there're lots of makes for carrying tampons on here, but none for carrying the necessities for the rest of the month, I thought I'd share this one with you guys too!

I've included a template which should fit most standard sized UK pill packets, but making one to fit your own is very simple if you'd prefer. I'd love to see others versions!

    Step 1

Firstly, grab your pill packet so you can get accurate measurements, or make sure that it fits the downloadable pattern.

If yours came with an envelope, then take a pattern off that. If not, use the download, or create yours using mine as a basis.

If you've got an empty pill box then use that as it's great, free stiff cardboard. If not, then use any stiff cardboard you can find.

(BTW - I'm not a doctor, but Femodine is a pill I highly recommend if you're having trouble with the one you're on!).

Trace out your pattern on the cardboard. I had to do mine in two halves, which I'll stick together later.

Cut it out, stick together if required (I used seletape).

Decorate as wanted. I doodled this little guy years ago and he's only just found a use. You could also use patterned paper or card, or cut out pictures from magazines or comics. Whatever you want really.

Fold everything up and glue along the flaps. I found that my glue was crap, so I ended up selotaping it together.

Cut a little triangle or semi-circle out so you can grab the contents. This is optional, but mine turned out quite tight, so it's recommended if yours is the same.

Pop in your pill packet and voila! A safe way to carry them round and disguise them in needs be. This fits snuggly in my purse so it's easy to find when I'm on the go.
(The packets fits all the way in by the way - I;ve just pulled them out a little for the photo!).

This is hilarious, because I was wondering where on earth would you get pill packets in that shape. Here in the U.S. they are HUGE with tons of wasted space... I have some friends moving back here from the UK and they're already complaining about how people are going to whine about her breast feeding in public.

The UK does them as small as possible it appears! They tend not to have the dummy pills more common in the US too, so that cuts down on space.
The British do whine about the public breast feeding too, so they must be really bad over there for her to complain!
