Cut Out + Keep

Peep People

Easy Easter Craft

https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/peep-people • Posted by KMOM14

This is from a few years back when our local newspaper had a "Show Us Your Peeps" contest and several women that I work with participated. I created "Harry Peepter" and he made the front page (small picture in the lower corner, but still the front page). For Harry I used paper and markers to create the outfit and glued it to the peep, colored a scrap of white fabric colored with a purple marker for the cape, made glasses out of a twist tie and the hat is made of scrap aluminum foil with purple stars on it for the hat. The second picture is all of our creations (clockwise from the front): Spider Peep, Peepton Manning, Harry Peepter, Johnny Peep as Captain Jack Peepter and Sanjaya Peep (complete with the faux hawk). We didn't win but the winner was very clever and created Vincent Van Peep painting "Starry Night" complete with one of the ears missing. Obviously, these are non-edible, but you could create your own peeps to be anything you want and you could even use edible pieces such as frosting, fruit rollups, pieces of candy, etc.
