Pecan & Cashew Tuiles

A tasty and easy little snack that will impress your guests!

They always sell expensive boxes of tuiles at Christmas and I'd assumed they would be tricky to make, because they look so delicate. In reality, they were so simple and it's much cheaper to make your own. You can also top them with anything you like - such as nuts, fruit, chocolates, so feel free to get creative!

You Will Need (7 things)

  • 50 g Butter
  • 75 g Caster Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Golden Syrup
  • ½ tbsp Double Cream
  • 50 g Flour
  • 25 g Cashews
  • 25 g Pecans

Steps (6 steps, 20 minutes)

    Weigh out the nuts and chop in to small pieces.

    Place the butter, sugar and syrup in a saucepan over a medium heat.

    Meanwhile, weigh out your flour.

    When the butter has melted, stir in the flour and nuts, then remove from the heat.

    Line a baking tray with baking paper and pour out the mixture. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes or until golden, remove the tray and carefully cut out small biscuit discs with a cookie cutter. Leave the discs to cool over a rolling pin for a few seconds to add a slight curve.
