I made these awesome shorts from old jeans and scrap fabric!
I love these jeans! They are so comfortable and best of all, they look awesome!

  • Step 1

    Take you old jeans and cut them to the length you want. usualy just above the knee works.

  • Step 2

    Hem the bottom of them, or you can leave them the way they are and after a few washes they should be frayed at the bottom.

  • Step 3

    sew on a piece of scrap fabric. I used b&w costume fabric.

  • Step 4

    turn your jeans over and cut out one of the back pockets. ( don't cut threw the front of your jeans! just the back layer!) Then, cut a piece of your scrap fabric large enough to cover the hole you just made. sew that on there. ( you wont have a pocket there now BTW! )

  • Step 5

    Your done! Enjoy your new style-ish jean shorts!
