Description

This cuff-style bracelet is made with individual coils of memory wire and will take you a couple of hours to put together. A word of warning: Memory wire is made of steel that will damage your good wire cutters so make sure you always use memory wire shears to cut it!

Instructions

  1. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 143309 2 1 2bcoil wm

Use the memory wire shears to cut five pieces of memory wire. Each one should be one full coil plus 1" (2.5cm).

  2. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 034925 1 begin stringing wm

Turn an inward loop on one end of each coil. String 3 turquoise beads.

  3. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 034927 2 string spacer wm

String the outside hole of a spacer bar onto the memory wire.

    String fifteen turquoise rondelles.

  5. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 034950 4 string 2nd spacer wm

  6. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 034953 5 string beads wm

    String six turquoise rondelles.

  7. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 034959 6 thread flower loop wm

Insert the memory wire through the outside hole of the flower slider.

  8. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035006 7 string 3rd spacer wm

String six turquoise rondelles, then thread the wire through the outside hole of a third spacer bar.

  9. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035011 8 string 4th spacer wm

  10. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035016 9 finish stringing wm

    String three more rondelles.

  11. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035021 10 trim wire wm

Move all the beads along the memory wire to remove any excess space but don't make them too tight on the wire. Trim the wire to 7/16" (11mm) with the memory wire shears.

  12. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035029 11 turn loop wm

    Turn an inward facing loop.

  13. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035038 12 string aqua wm

Take a second piece of memory wire. String three aqua beads and then pass the memory wire through the second hole of the spacer bar. Continue stringing aqua beads following the same pattern as the turquoise beads. Pass the memory wire through the same loop of the flower as the turquoise beads. You may need to adjust the number of beads used on either side of the flower to make the slider sit nicely. Finish stringing the aqua beads and then turn an inward loop. String the pink, salmon and apricot beads in the same way with the following variations: Pink row: thread the wire through the middle hole of the flower slider. Salmon and Apricot Rows: thread the wires through the remaining outside loop of the flower slider. You may need to adjust the number of beads to make the flower sit properly.

  14. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 035054 14 pull wire through flower wm

To thread the apricot row of memory wire through the flower slider, you will need to use pliers to draw it through.

  15. Small 114385 2f2016 05 27 041858 14 pull wire through spacer wm

Use pliers to feed the wire through the top hole of the spacer bar. If necessary, bend the end of the memory wire down a little to help you feed it through. Finish stringing the beads and turn an inward loop to complete your bracelet.
