i saw some years ago the dolls of Julie Arkell in a dutch magazine and felt directly in love of her work. http://www.earthangelstoys.com/html/julie_arkell_-_paper_mache.html just take a look on her site!!! i love dolls and bunnies and recycling, and old vintage looks so i thought when i saw the empty soap bottle this is almost a body of an doll allready. i must make one of it with just old scraps. and then this girl was born;-D thought this will a great gift to make for others when i'm making a tute of it. time is without drying time!!! and it was a free project for me because i used only scraps and recyling materials hope you like it and try to make one as well;-D thank you for stopping by;-D

start with the bottle make it clean you don't have to saok off the labels but it must be just clean to work with.
draw with a sharpie the points for the holes for the arms watch the picture;-D
do the same for the legs and make the holes. You can do that with just the point of the scissors
measuring the length of the legs and arms of the electrical wire arm : 30 cm - 12 inches legs 60 cm or 24 inches. the legs must be fold in two.
Turn off the lid of the bottle ,and push the legs in to it and then throught the holes out of the bottle. Push the arms in one hole of the bottle towards the other hole and your done.;-D Watch the picture.
Make of clots of paper the head and wrapped it with tape to fix them on the bottle . Do the same on the front and backside of the head. folding of some new pages of the telephone book the ears. and tape them . The head may bigger then the rest it 's will make the doll just prettier and cuter;-D
do the same with the body make a nice well shaped belly and on the backside a nice bottom;-D Just over do it to have a fun look. It won't be a barby.LOL and it doesn't have to go to the weigth watchers.LOL
now the fun messy part. Use big strokes with you dept in the pva glue and covering upt the body to make the body parts nice and smoothly and strong when it's dried up. You need to let this dry for 24 hours or.... set her in front of the heating when it's allready on, otherwise don't be smart think green;-D
okay time to give her covered up arms just a small layer to make her funny.
and do the same with the legs an dthe feets and just let it dry as well. and give the doll some thick layer of wood glue to make her stronger.
now give her a nice skin colour and of course the skin can have many other colours t hen i have used i had this colour all ready. and i was just a lazy gril . be creative.LOL
choose a colour for the clothting parts. you don't have paint the whole doll because we will glue the rest of the body part just with fabric scraps.
glue with woodglue the hat part of the doll and the shoes and the skirt.
draw on the paint of the face with fineliner sharpies and some marker the face of the doll. hummm i had painted the eyes later on away to give her some glue nice paper flowers as eyes.
pimp the doll more and more with ribbons and chenille wire and fake gems , just have fun with it. Later on i have painted some more details on the hat and shoes as well go on, use your own creativity and just have fun;-D when you like her look i think you're done.!!!!! yeaaah anjoy her looks or give her away of course you can give her some friends like a bunny dog or just a bf.;-D hey thank you for stopping by , i love to see your creations and love your fave and your comments;-D
