I remember along time ago in I think about the first grade, my art teacher taught us how to make these necklaces from drawings we made on paper plates. The only difference is she made us use a hole punch instead of pushpin. And hey it gave me an excuse to use my new sharpies ^^ This is my first project *yay* I hope you all can understand my writing, I'm originally from Croatia ^^ Sorry it the pic comes out funny, my webcam is half dead :/

Description

I remember along time ago in I think about the first grade, my art teacher taught us how to make these necklaces from drawings we made on paper plates. The only difference is she made us use a hole punch instead of pushpin. And hey it gave me an excuse to use my new sharpies ^^ This is my first project *yay* I hope you all can understand my writing, I'm originally from Croatia ^^ Sorry it the pic comes out funny, my webcam is half dead :/

Instructions

  1. Small 11878

Draw your design on the paper plate in pencil.Outline it with a black marker and erase the pencil sketch. I drew a heart and a Uchiha (From Naruto ^^) Which was basically a circle with a small rectangle under it.I then erase any overlapping lines.(Top right hand side you can see there the pencil marks were for the rectangle.I just drew in black so it'll show up on cam.)

  2. Small 11879

After you're done with the basically sketch, use markers, permanent or washable (I prefer permanent since they're brighter) to color in the design. After that cover the front and the back of the drawing with clear packing tape. If you look closely at the heart in the previous step you can see the tape darkened against the paper plate. Then take a pushpin and poke a hole a bit above the drawing and cut out the shape.

  3. Small 11880

You can then poke the paperclip through the hole and use for a loop. If your using it for a necklace , just lace dental floss, fishing lure, string, anything really and tie or add a clasp to it.For earring, just use small metal hoops instead of the paper clip. There's a million ideas for designs depending on how good you can draw. It's a good recyclable and pretty much everybody owns more than one sharpie now ^^ *on a side note, If the pic of my arm looks odd, thats because one hand is holding the camera, the other is displaying the charm and yeah I'm double jointed O.o *
